SAILING AND ANCHORING
In fulfilment of articles 4.1. m) and 10.3.
e) of Act 15/2002, dated 1 July, which designates
the National Maritime-Terrestrial Park of
the Atlantic Islands of Galicia, written authorisation
is necessary for sailing and anchoring in
the waters of the National Park. These activities
are regulated by the objectives for the conservation
and public use of the National Park of the
Atlantic Islands of Galicia. The sailing and
anchoring authorisations are awarded to the
vessel-owners.
|
- The sailing permit, which is a prerequisite
for obtaining the anchoring permit,
is annual and authorises sailing on
the waters of the National Park during
the current year. The application must
be filed by completing the sailing form
and sending it to the National Park
office with the required documentation.

|
- The anchoring permit can be obtained
and printed directly from this website.
This new procedure, which makes it possible
to obtain the permit without a minimum
notice seeks to speed up the awarding
of anchoring permits and make dealing
with the authorities and the awarding
of permits easier for citizens. The
permit is awarded for a maximum term
of 10 days (not necessarily consecutive)
and it must be applied for with a maximum
notice of 30 days, except during the
period from 15 June to 15 September,
when it is awarded for a maximum term
of 3 days (not necessarily consecutive)
with a maximum notice of 7 days.
|
|
Should the applicant encounter difficulties
when accessing this website and processing
the anchoring permits directly from
it, the application may be sent to the
National Park office. In this case,
consideration must be given to the fact
that the maximum notice is 20 days and
the minimum notice is 4 days. Accordingly,
the application must be sent by completing
the anchoring form and sending it to
the National Park office.

DIVING
In fulfilment of Act 15/2002, which designates
the National Maritime-Terrestrial Park of
the Atlantic Islands of Galicia, and in anticipation
of the adoption of the Master Plan for Use
and Management, the procedure to be carried
out for diving activities in the waters of
the National Park is as follows:
To practise diving in the waters of the National
Park, the corresponding permit must be obtained.
To obtain the said permit, the diving form
must be completed and sent to the National
Park office, which will send it signed by
fax, e-mail or ordinarily post.
The permit can also be obtained directly
on the Islands of Cíes (telephone 986
687 502) or Ons (986 687 696) before diving,
since the form can be completed and signed
there. However, for this process, the islands
must be notified by telephone with a minimum
of 24 hours' notice and the instructions given
by the Park staff must be followed.
The form must be accompanied by a photocopy
of each participant's national identification
document, diving qualification and diving
accident insurance. The participants must
also fulfil current legislation governing
sailing and diving activities.
